i have the certificate with serial number 70:BA:E4:1D:10:D9:29:34:B6:38:CA:7B:03:CC:BA:BF
i verified it by checking in my phone.

i still have the same error about using gmail with my w850i now wth? and even i reinstalled the gmail app.

Hello: my Samsung S5600 has the apropriate Verisign certificate and Gamail mobile worked for several days but then it started to report the above error message
Of course, the certificate is still there

any ideas?

Hi guys I am from South Africa and until yesterday morning I have being getting the error : Certificate Error
Sorry, the Gmail mobile app will not work on your phone. Your phone doesn’t have the appropriate certificate to communicate with Gmail. Try accessing Gmail on your mobile browser at http://m.gmail.com, on my motorola v360. Plse could anyone out there plse help me. eveerasamy@gmail.com or +27781264320.

The easy way is to use a short link like tinyurl and use that to enter install the certificate. Took me 30 sek to make it work

Thanks for the link Nelly, MovaMial does seems a good option for checking Yahoo, Hotmail, GMail, AOL, POP3 and IMAP email accounts. But since I’m only using Gmail at the moment, the Gmail mobile app would do for now.

But for those who are interested:

I also had problems on my phone SonyEricsson V800 but I solved it in the end. I can tell you that the app is great and very fast; it has that old Google look. Everything is great but if you have other accounts like Hotmail, or Yahoo mail you will have to install another mail app. I use Movamail http://movamail.com/ for all of my mail accounts including Gmail.
